Schoolboy Q’s next album finally has a release date

Schoolboy Q hasn’t been shy providing us with new music, showing up on guest verses and giving us two excellent singles in “Groovy Tony” and “THat Part.” This summer will see much more from Q, as the Top Dawg Entertainment rapper took to Twitter to announce the release date for his newest album.

In a pair of tweets, Q revealed that the follow-up to 2014’s Oxymoron will be arriving on July 8. The relatively short wait is good news for hip-hop fans that have been patiently waiting on Q’s next studio effort, which at this point is still without a title.

Q’s recent work has been fantastic, so we’re hopeful that the new album is full of the same level of material.
